We recently spoke to Ria Reihana, the Owner at Aurum Hairstylists in Dunedin who were a Top 5 finalist for NZ Salon of the Year 2018, about how she was finding PartPay.

What drove you to sign up as a PartPay partner?

We have been wanting to offer this option for our clients for a long time – this is the way of the future and our clients were wanting this payment option – however we struggled with communications with other providers being slow and tricky to set up as well as charging big set up fees as well as monthly fees. When we saw the NZARH had partnered up with PartPay we jumped at the opportunity to deal with NZ based support.

What has your Customer feedback been so far around PartPay?

The feedback has been fantastic! Clients are loving how easy it is and the low commitment of having everything paid off by their next visit.

How has PartPay’s instalment offering impacted your business so far? What would you say are the key benefits for you the Salon?

The best benefit is that it makes it extremely easy to up-sell our home care products and add on services to our clients  – people are spending more willingly as they are excited to be able to afford to keep their hair looking amazing for the full 6 weeks. The upsell opportunity by far makes it worth it for such a small fee (just a little more than a regular credit card payment.) The full payment minus the fee is in our account by the next business day so there is no risk for us!

How are your Customers finding the process of using PartPay to pay?

They absolutely love it! It frees up their cashflow and it’s easy to navigate and check what their limit is.

How have you found the process of getting set-up to accept PartPay? How are you promoting it to your Customers?

The set up was super easy only took a few days and we were all up and running. The service has been amazing with prompt replies to our questions. We have the promo material set up around the salon but via Social Media has been our main driver. We have gained a lot of new clients via PartPay as well being one of the few salons in our area offering it. I would recommend salon owners take this opportunity now while there is excitement around it as it’s a great drawcard for new clients as well as an extra for our existing clientele.

Further to the above, our model is based on Consumers paying their instalments on time and as part of our commitment to this we have the lowest default fees in the New Zealand market, and cap our maximum default fees when many others don’t.
